Summary

🇩🇪 Culture tip: Politeness in German is less about “please” and more about the Konjunktiv: „Könnten Sie mir bitte sagen, wie spät es ist?“ sounds much friendlier than „Wie spät ist es?“. In shops and offices this makes a real difference!
